Dr Ahmed AlMajmaie is a Dental surgeon with a special interest in Surgical Dentistry, all aspects of general dentistry, with more than 10 years of clinical experience. He believes in providing gentle, honest, and personalised care for every patient, and takes time to explain each step clearly to ensure a comfortable and stress-free experience.
Dr Ahmed has worked with different teams across a variety of roles and positions, and was appointed as a Registrar in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Galway University Hospital, where he practised for three years. He currently works part-time as an HSE Registrar and as a Dental Surgeon with Dental Care Ireland.
With a strong interest in evidence-based dentistry, Dr Ahmed is committed to continuous professional development. He has attended multiple scientific conferences and courses both nationally and internationally, and has presented and published posters and articles.
On his free time he enjoys horse riding and he regularly attended the races in Galway.

Dr O’Sullivan qualified from Trinity College Dublin in 1990. She worked in the dental hospital and general practice. She completed her membership of the faculty of dentistry in the RCSI (Royal College of Surgeons) in 1996.
She completed a three year full time masters programme in Orthodontics from TCD and received a masters in dental surgery in 2000. She is also a member in orthodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh

Dr. Emilio Cecamore graduated with a Merit from the University of Genoa, Italy in 2012. In 2016, he completed a three-year Master’s degree (MSc) in Oral Surgery at the University of Milan, Italy. He also obtained a Master’s in Oral Implantology from Goethe University, Frankfurt, Germany, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Conscious Sedation from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom.
Dr. Cecamore has extensive experience in Oral Surgery and Implantology, covering procedures ranging from straightforward dental implant placement to full-arch rehabilitation with immediate loading, sinus lifts, bone grafting and wisdom teeth extractions.
Dr. Cecamore is committed to continuous professional development and keeps abreast of innovative treatments by attending conferences and specialised courses. He is interested in guided implant surgery and new technologies to enhance patients’ understanding of available treatment options.
In his spare time, Emilio enjoys reading, travelling, and socialising with friends and family.

Dr Luciana Bialta Contato graduated from Universidade Norte do Parana in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry. In 2010 she completed a post graduate Specialist Diploma in Endodontics from Universidade Norte do Parana. In 2018 she completed a Masters in Dentistry from University Fernando Pessoa, Porto. Dr Contato commenced practice as a specialist Endodontist in 2010 in the State of Parana, Brazil. In 2019 she commenced practice as a specialist Endodontist in Ireland

Dr Billy Waters started as a scientist graduating with a Biomedical Science degree in 1998, and completed a postgraduate higher diploma in 1999. Developing his interest in matters medical he studied dentistry in UCC graduating with honours in Dental Surgery in 2004. While working in general dental practice he undertook postgraduate dental studies being awarded MFDS by the Royal College of Surgeons in 2009. During this time he developed an interest in dental implants and undertook a Masters in Implant Dentistry at the University of Warwick graduating in 2011. During this time he treated patients in Prof. Stuart Harding’s dental implant suite in Harley Street, London. He and his associates operate a general dental practice at the Cork Dental Clinic.
When not working in general practice Dr Waters operates a specialist dental implant practice at the Cork Dental Implant Clinic in Cork. He also maintains close links with Cork University Dental School & Hospital where he works as a clinical tutor, and continues to work closely with Prof. Duncan Sleeman in his implant work.

Dr Divya Sweeney graduated from the University of Melbourne with a biomedical science degree in 2012. She wanted to be a dentist since she was 16 and managed to fulfil her dream by graduating from UCC with honours. During her degree, she received the Henry Schein award for endodontics and the NUI Dr H H Stewart medical scholarship.
After a number of years of working in the beautiful Kerry countryside, she returned to the real capital to pursue advanced techniques in dentistry opening the doors to facial aesthetics and implantology.
Dr Divya Sweeney has completed further training in anti-wrinkle injections in the London School of facial aesthetics and is our in-house facial aesthetics provider. She joined our practice in 2021 and is currently pursuing a postgraduate diploma in aesthetic dentistry.
Dr Divya is great with nervous patients, taking her time to ensure that making her patients feel at ease during their treatment. In her free time, she loves running, hill walking, sea swimming and of course trying to chase after her dog Rua..

Dr. Caroline O’Dwyer is a specialist orthodontist with over 10 years of dental experience. She completed a Clinical Doctorate in Orthodontics and is a registered specialist with the Irish Dental Council. She is a member of the Orthodontic society of Ireland,
Caroline has contributed to orthodontic research focusing on how orthodontics improves the quality of life of children, their siblings as well as their parents.
Caroline qualified as a dentist from University College Cork (Hons) in 2012.
During her time there she received many awards for her clinical and academic achievements, most notably the Orthodontic Society of Ireland Medal for her results in final year.
Upon graduating, Caroline was then selected for General Professional Training with the Northern Ireland Medical and Dental Training Agency, .
Dr. O’Dwyer has also worked as a Senior House officer in Maxillo-facial surgery in the Ulster Hospital, and as a Senior House officer in oral surgery in the Dublin Dental University Hospital, in Trinity College Dublin.
After developing a passion for straightening teeth, Caroline completed her specialist training in orthodontics. This involved three years training on a full time course in the dental hospital in Cork’s CUH. Caroline was awarded her Clinical Doctorate in Orthodontics from University College Cork (Hons) and Membership in Orthodontics from the Orthodontic Society of Ireland.

Dr Jennifer Collins graduated from the University of Wales, College of Medicine, Cardiff in 2004. She spent 3 years in Brighton completing her Vocational Training year and was a Senior House Officer in Maxillofacial Surgery and Orthodontics. During this time, she gained a vast experience in all types of oral and maxillofacial surgery and orthodontics. She attained Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland in 2007 and moved permanently back to Dublin in 2008 to pursue her career in private practice. Jennifer has volunteered with the charity Operation Smile and completed many missions in Asia helping children with cleft lips and palates. She is a past committee member of the Metro branch of the Irish Dental Association and the Irish Faculty of Primary Dental Care. Jennifer was on the judging panel for the “Sensodyne Dentist of the Year” in 2017 and “Colgate Caring Dentist of the Year” in 2018. She is currently on the GP committee of the Irish Dental Association. Jennifer is committed to delivering excellence in dentistry to her patients and has completed many courses over the years in orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics. She prides herself in providing the highest standards and most up to date methods of care to her patients. Jennifer enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and has a particular interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry and well as being sensitive to the needs of nervous and anxious patients. She has built up a very loyal patient base over the years as a result of her caring and gentle approach.

Originally of Irish origin, Maher qualified as a general dentist in Germany in 2000. After practicing several years in general practice, he returned to Ireland and completed a 3 year full time programme in Periodontology and Implant dentistry in 2007. He holds a MA qualification in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and is currently completing his diploma in advanced conscious sedation techniques. He has a keen interest in the management of the failing dental implant and the utilization of advanced bone grafting techniques.

Practice limited to Implant Dentistry, Placement and Restoration
Dr. Breandán O’Niadh graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2004. He worked in general practice until 2012 when he commenced an Implantology fellowship in the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston. While working as a general dentist he completed an introductory implant course in 2009 and 2010 where his interest in this field arose. He completed the two person program in June 2012.
Dr. O’Niadh was an undergraduate clinical supervisor in the Harvard Dental School while he was training, teaching implant dentistry in the clinics. He was involved in clinical research as part of the Implantology program. His program director and mentor, Dr. German Gallucci, is a world leader in Implant dentistry who has published extensively and contributed to many books on the subject. The Harvard Implantology program is heavily involved in digital dentistry and Dr. O’Niadh is interested in bringing some of these workflows to Northumberland Dental. He represented Harvard at the EAO in Dublin in 2013 and at the North Eastern Implant Symposium in Boston in 2014. Dr O’Niadh joined Northumberland Dental in 2014 as an Implant Dentist.

Dr Raphael Bellamy currently works as an Endodontist at Northumberland Dental Care. He qualified from University College Cork in 1978. After 18 years in general dentistry, he continued his education by undergoing a postgraduate programme at the Goldman School of Dental Medicine, Boston, USA. He received a Certificate in Endodontics and Advanced Graduate Studies following the completion of a Thesis on Digital Radiography. Dr Raphael Bellamy is also a registered Board Certified Diplomate on the American Board of Endodontics and is the Co-Founder of the Schilder Institute for the Advancement of Endodontics.
With over 40 years of experience and a wealth of experience with both restorative and endodontic dentistry, Raphael offers the highest quality of treatment and to all patients.

Dr. Lilia Reynolds qualified with honours from Trinity College in 2015 and has since worked in variety of settings in Ireland including award-winning private practices and the Dublin Dental University Hospital as a Senior House Officer. In 2020, Lilia obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Conscious Sedation gaining great experience in the management of extremely anxious dental patients.
Lilia enjoys and practices all aspects of general dentistry but has a particular interest in endodontics and restorative dentistry, the divisions of dentistry concerned with saving natural teeth through root canal treatment and management of the dental pulp (nerve). Lilia is passionate about the importance of securing the best outcomes for patients when undergoing root canal treatments and performs treatments exclusively with the use of a dental operating microscope.
Prioritising life-long learning, she completed her Masters in Endodontics with King’s College London in 2023 achieving a distinction. Lilia is pleased to be able to provide high-quality routine and complex root canal treatments and retreatments for her patients. She is also accepting referrals and queries from general dentists.

Dr. Maurice Fitzgerald works as a Prosthodontist at Northumberland Dental Care. He graduated with honours from Dental Science in Trinity College Dublin in 2002. During his undergraduate education he was an entrance exhibitioner and was awarded the Trinity non-foundation scholarship.
After graduation Dr. Fitzgerald spent several years in general dental practice, treating a broad range of general dental problems. He returned to the Dublin Dental School and Hospital as a Senior House Officer in 2004. In 2005 he was awarded the membership of the Faculty of Dentistry in the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland. In 2005 he was accepted into the postgraduate full-time prosthodontics programme in Trinity College Dublin, from which he graduated with first class honours in 2008.
Dr. Fitzgerald’s doctoral research was on the accuracy of guided dental implant placement, and has been published in the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants. Since completing his prosthodontics training he has worked in the practice limited to prosthodontics and implant dentistry in Waterford and now Dublin. He is asked to lecture regularly to general dentists on a range of topics in restorative dentistry. He is the past president of the South East Branch of the Irish Dental Association. He travels extensively to the United States, South Africa and Europe, continuing his education in advanced prosthodontic and implant techniques.
Dr. Maurice Fitzgerald lives in Dublin with his wife and two daughters & founded Dublin Specialist Dentistry in 2010 in Sandyford, close to his family home. He is a member of, or registered with: the Irish Dental Council, Irish Dental Association, the European Prosthodontics Society, the Irish Prosthodontic Society, the American College of Prosthodontics Global Alliance and is a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and the prosthetics section of the ICOI.
Dr. Fitzgerald has a particular interest in implant restorations, bite reconstruction, cosmetic dentistry, intensive bleaching technologies and implant and conventional denture prosthodontics.

Dr Paul Reilly is our implant dentist at here at Dental Care Ireland, Rathfarnham. He qualified from the University of Manchester in 2015 and subsequently gained four years of valuable hospital experience at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in London and Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. During this time, he developed his skills in oral and maxillofacial surgery and restorative dentistry, whilst simultaneously completing a postgraduate diploma in Primary Dental Care with the University of Kent.
In 2017, Dr Paul was honoured to win the People’s Choice Award at the British Association of Oral Surgery Scientific Conference poster exhibition. He successfully achieved Membership to the Joint Dental Faculties with the Royal College of Surgeons in England that same year and currently holds membership with both the Faculty of Dental Surgery and the College of General Dentistry.
In 2020, he returned to Ireland to be closer to family and further his career in private practice. Since returning home to Dublin, he has continued to undertake extensive post graduate training in the fields of soft tissue surgery, dental implants and aesthetic dentistry. He has attended various conferences and courses held in Europe, Asia and North America to get a global perspective on the best techniques to offer patients under his care. In 2025, he completed his Masters in Implantology with the University of Bristol achieving a distinction, underscoring his commitment to clinical excellence.
Dr Reilly is known for his technical precision and calm, compassionate manner—helping patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident at every stage of their treatment. In addition to treating his own patients, he also welcomes referrals from general dentists for implant treatment and oral surgery and is happy to work in close collaboration to support seamless, high-quality care.

Dr Bernard Murphy received his BDS qualification from University College Cork in 1990. A native of Cork, Bernard grew up in Cork City.
Following graduation from UCC, Bernard worked in general practice in Kent, England until 1992.
He then returned to Ireland and opened a number of dental practices in Carlow and Wexford. He is now delighted to finally have the opportunity to practice in his hometown.
Bernard has been actively involved in the Irish Dental Association since 1992. He is former Chairman of the Irish Dental Council; the professional body of the dental profession in Ireland, where he played an active role in promoting high standards of professional education and professional conduct among dentists.
A dad of 3, he enjoys cycling and boating particularly in the West Cork area.

Dr Meabh Long joined Dental Care Ireland Dougals in June 2022. As a Cork native, Meabh is delighted to be returning home to practice dentistry in her local area. She qualified from Cork University Dental school and Hospital in 2018 with an Honours degree. While in UCC, Meabh was awarded first place for an Ormco award for Excellence in Clinical Orthodontics. In 2017, Meabh travelled to a remote village, Tistung, Nepal with Dental Outreach where she carried out preventive dentistry, restorative dentistry, and oral surgery.
Following graduation, Dr Meabh worked full time in a busy NHS and private practice in Kent, England.
Upon returning to Ireland Meabh worked in Claregalway, Co. Galway where she continued to develop her interest in preventative dentistry. She has a gentle approach to assessing and treating patients, always having their best interests at heart. Her calm demeanour and friendly face aims to create a warm atmosphere to help put patients at ease. She takes time to ensure each patient understands their treatment plan and answers any questions before beginning treatment.

Dr. Ryan Hennessy is an implantologist based in Dental Care Ireland Douglas. He graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2006. Dr Hennessy is a provider of Zimmer Implants, having completed his post-graduate training with Dr. Spencer Woolfe in the Harcourt Clinic Dublin.
In 2021, Dr. Ryan Hennessy was awarded the Fellowship of the International College of Dentists (FICD) for “outstanding professional achievement, meritorious service, and dedication to the continued progress of dentistry for the benefit of humankind.”
He has previously been chairperson of the General Practitioners Group of the Irish Dental Association. He also represented the association on the Practitioners Health Matters Program, a group that provides support to doctors and dentists dealing with the effects of stress, burnout, mental health difficulties or who may have an alcohol or drug misuse problem.
He has spoken at several national dental conferences and debated on topics such as independent practice, dental marketing, and the future of dentistry. Dr. Ryan Hennessy is married to Danielle, and they live near Fermoy Co. Cork with their three childred

Dr Bríd Brett is an experienced Dentist based in Dublin and Drogheda with a keen interest in cosmetic, orthodontics and paediatric dentistry. Bríd prides herself in her approach to dealing with nervous patients, open communication and professionalism.

Dr Alba Urdaneta is an Implantologist at Dental Care Ireland Cabinteely and also offers periodontic treatments at Dental Care Ireland Molesworth.
Dr Alba Urdaneta graduated top of her class from Dentistry at the Catholic University of Valencia in 2016. In 2020, Alba completed her Implant and Periodontic training to further expand her knowledge and skills. She has been working in this field of dentistry since the completion of her training.

Dr. Andrew Khoury is a dedicated dentist with a passion for orthodontics and a strong commitment to patient-centered care. Graduating from CEU Cardinal Herrera University in 2020, Dr. Khoury spent a transformative year in Lebanon, where he shadowed an orthodontist and provided charitable dental care to Palestinian communities. In 2021, he relocated to Wexford, where he now offers a full range of general dental services and comprehensive clear aligner treatments
In 2023, Dr. Khoury expanded his practice to Carlow, focusing exclusively on Invisalign and other clear aligner treatments. As a comprehensive provider, he enjoys treating older teenagers and adults, helping them achieve their best smiles with modern orthodontic solutions. Driven by a goal to become an orthodontist, he continually invests in advanced training, staying at the forefront of orthodontic innovations.
Beyond the clinic, Dr. Khoury channels his dedication to making a positive impact into coaching the U18 football/soccer team of a local Wexford club, inspiring young athletes to reach their potential.

Dr Kostas Tzamalas graduated from the Dental School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1996. Aftrer his military service at the Dental Department of the Naval Hospital of Athens, Dr. Tzamalas worked at his private clinic acquiring experience in all the fields of Contemporary Dentistry. In 2007, he moved to Germany and trained for two years at a Specialist Orthodontic Centre in Rheda-Widenbrueck, Westfallen Lippe.
After that he continued his special training in London where he successfully completed a 3 year Postgraduate Program in Orthodontics at the prestigious King’s College London. Dr Tzamalas achieved his specialty title in Orthodontics after exams with the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. He held a position as a scientific associate at Guys Hospital in London before coming to Ireland.
Dr Kostas Tzamalas has completed 7,500 Orthodontic treatment cases in 3 different countries (UK, Germany, Greece) before coming to work with us here at Dental Care Ireland. He is using all the contemporary orthodontic treatments and he is certified in the lingual systems Win, Incognito, and clear aligners, Invisalign, Spark.

Dr Silvia Fernández-Checa Kern finished her Bachelor’s Degree in Dentistry in 2020 at the Alfonso X el Sabio University in Madrid. During the following two years she completed a master’s degree at the same university specialising in oral surgery, implants and prosthodontics. Her work is especially focused on oral rehabilitation treatments and working with the other specialties to be able to offer the patient a complete treatment from all relevant aspects of dental healthcare.
She is a dedicated and empathetic person who thrives to help her patients understand what it means to have and maintain good oral health.

Cathal is a native of Tipperary town and graduated from University College Cork in 1991. He has over 30 years of clinical experience, including a spell in England before returning to the mid west in 1995. He was principal dentist in Liberty Square Dental in Thurles for 17 years and joined Dental Care Ireland in 2023. His interests include implant dentistry, endodontics and aesthetics. He is a strong believer in gentle dental care.

Dr Minu Thomas is a highly experienced orthodontist who has been helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles for over 20 years.
After qualifying as a dentist, Dr Thomas moved to Dublin in 1997, where she completed her Fellowship in General Dentistry in the year 2000. She began her specialist training in orthodontics at Trinity College Dublin in 2002. Her advanced training took place at both the Dublin Dental Hospital and Waterford Regional Hospital, where she gained extensive experience in treating children, teenagers, and adults with a wide variety of orthodontic needs.
She went on to complete her Master’s degree in Orthodontics and became fully registered as a Specialist Orthodontist with the Dental Council of Ireland in 2005. In addition, she earned prestigious postgraduate qualifications from the Royal College of Surgeons in both Ireland and Edinburgh.
For more than 18 years, Dr Thomas worked as a Specialist Orthodontist with the HSE in Dublin, where she treated many complex and challenging cases. This experience has given her a deep understanding of how to create effective, personalised treatment plans that achieve long-lasting results.
In 2023, Dr Thomas relocated to Sligo, where she now focuses on providing private orthodontic care. She is passionate about helping patients of all ages achieve beautiful, healthy smiles in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Dr Caroline Fleming is a highly experienced dentist with a strong clinical focus on implant dentistry, oral surgery and periodontal treatments.
She qualified from Trinity College Dublin in 2002 with an honor’s degree and has since gained extensive experience working in both hospital settings and private practice across London and Dublin.
Caroline has a particular interest in oral surgery and dental implants, having worked as both a Senior House Officer and Specialty Doctor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the UK.
Dr Fleming is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons. She was awarded a Diploma in Periodontology in the U.K. in 2023 as well as the Membership in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. She has also been awarded a Certificate in Conscious Sedation.
Caroline is committed to providing the highest standards of patient care while prioritising patient experience and comfort.

Przemek graduated in 1994 from Warsaw Medical University. Following qualification he worked in the Prosthodontic Department of Warsaw Medical University and taught undergraduate students in prosthodontics until 2003. In the same year he completed his five year speciality training and has become a registered specialist in the area of prosthodontics. Between 1995 and 2005 Przemek worked in a number of private state-of-the-art dental clinics in Warsaw offering a full range of dental treatments with a strong emphasis on prosthodontics and dental aesthetics. In 2005 he left Poland and moved to the UK where he worked in two mixed, NHS and private, practices and continued his postgraduate training by attending two one-year part-time courses in Restorative Dentistry and Aesthetic Dentistry in the renowned Paul Tipton’s St. Ann’s Dental Education Centre in Manchester.
In 2008 Przemek moved to Ireland and joined a private dental practice in Drogheda. Since then, after attending numerous practical and theoretical courses in the world-renowned Dawson Academy in the UK and USA, he has become one of only a few Dawson dentists in Ireland. A Dawson dentist is one who has dedicated many hours of postgraduate education to learn how to care for patients at the highest ethical and professional level. A primary principle of Dawson dentistry is to do what is necessary to achieve long-term maintainable health and comfort as well as the creation and maintenance of a beautiful and natural smile. As a Dawson dentist Przemek is trained in an analysis of bite problems and related disorders of the TMJ (jaw joints). Through the Dawson Academy and other training courses Przemek continually updates his knowledge of the latest materials and methods so he is able to provide the finest in smile design that can stand the long test of time. There is no more beautiful smile that the one which is in harmony with the anatomy and contour of the individual face and Dawson dentistry provides the most natural and beautiful results available for dental restorations.
In 2011 Przemek became a certified provider of INVISALIGN – the world’s best known system of nearly invisible clear aligners which is a great alternative to fixed braces for teen and adults. Przemek is also a certified provider of Six Months Smile which is a popular short-term fixed orthodontic system for adults.
In 2013 Przemek moved to the Westport area and became a co-owner and principal dentist of Westport Dental Centre. He lives with his wife, Agnieszka, in the lovely area of Rosmalley and enjoys trekking, mountain biking and windsurfing.

Dr Ricardo Trindade graduated in 2002 from the Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Lisbon, in Portugal. He soon moved to the UK, where he first worked as a general dentist in the NHS and private practice, and held a hospital post in Oral Surgery.
Dr Ricardo Trindade has been through postgraduate training in the UK and many other countries, thus being exposed to different approaches and building up resources that his patients can benefit from.
He has been working with dental implants for over 20 years, and was deeply involved in implant research in Sweden, having received a PhD from the University of Gothenburg’s Sahlgrenska Academy, the world renown pioneering center in Implant Dentistry.
Ricardo enjoys spending time listening to his patients and getting them to feel comfortable and at ease in the dental environment, while taking each patient on the journey to regain oral function and confidence with their smiles. Dr Marie Cooke completed her dental training in 1997 and underwent specialist training in Orthodontics at The Royal London Dental School and Hospital alongside a research masters from Queen Mary University London. Marie further completed an additional 2 years of training in surgical and restorative orthodontic techniques at Cambridge University Hospital and Guy’s Dental School and Hospital London (Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship Examination in Orthodontics).
She was a scholarship recipient and prize winner in UCC and also achieved awards from both the European and British Orthodontic Societies when training as an orthodontist. In addition she has undertaken postgraduate qualifications in teaching and health economics.
She is a past examiner of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Marie currently holds a Consultant post in Orthodontics in Cork and holds private clinics at Dental Care Ireland Cork.

Dr Sinead Allis graduated from University College Cork Dental School in 2002 and moved to the UK soon after. She spent 18 years working in the UK but has recently relocated back to Ireland with her family.
Sinead’s postgraduate studies include a Certificate in Endodontics (root canal treatment), Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties from the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MFDF RCS Eng) and a Masters in Conservative Dentistry (MSc).
In 2009, Sinead returned to full-time education to complete a Master’s Degree with Distinction in Conservative Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Hospital (UCL), London. This area of dentistry focuses on restoring or replacing damaged or missing teeth in a minimally invasive manner. It was while studying and working with specialist consultants at the Eastman that Sinead decided to focus her career on Implant dentistry. Following her Masters degree, she was a visiting lecturer at the Eastman Dental Institute on the Overseas Registration Examination courses.
Since 2009, Dr Sinead Allis has worked in specialist implant and oral surgery practices providing all aspects of Implant Dentistry from single tooth replacements to full arch restorations. She is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI) and is fully committed to postgraduate education. She attends a wide range of implant related courses and conferences both in the UK and abroad. Sinead is very passionate about her work and always aims to provide a high standard of care to all her patients.
In her spare time, Sinead is a keen runner and cyclist. She has competed in marathons and triathlons, both at home and abroad, but the Irish sport Camogie was her first love.

Dr Halley is a specialist Oral Surgeon. She practices in our Waterford, Swords, Cabinteely, Carlow and Callan practices. Her practice is limited to oral surgery care.
In 2018, she was awarded a clinical doctorate in oral surgery from the Dublin Dental University Hospital achieving first class honours and the Dean’s prize.
Prior to this, Dr Halley had worked in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery units in the Dublin Dental University Hospital, St James’s Hospital, Bristol Dental Hospital and Cardiff giving her a strong foundation in the management and treatment of patients.

Dr Cormac Cullinane BDS NUI MSc (ULond) graduated from UCC in 1995, following which he worked in a general dental practice for a number of years. In 2009, he was awarded an MSc in Endodontics with distinction from the Eastman Dental Institute, London and was the recipient of the Dentsply Maillefer Endodontology graduate prize for the highest clinical and academic achievement. Following this, he has limited his practice to Endodontics.
He regularly runs hands-on endodontic/ root canal treatment courses and has presented at Irish Dental Association and Irish Endodontic Society meetings.
In addition, he is a visiting lecturer on the MSc Endodontic programme in University of Central Lancashire and a lecturer, examiner and member of the Programme Committee for the Postgraduate Diploma in Endodontic Practice at the Eastman Dental Institute. Dr Cullinane as an endodontist provides root canal treatments and related services.

Dr Michele Angonese graduated in Dentistry in 2007 from Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. In 2009 she concluded her first Post Graduate Specialisation in Restorative Dentistry and in 2014 she concluded her second Post Graduation in Orthodontics and Facial Orthopaedics. She also holds a Masters in Dentistry from Fernando Pessoa University, Portugal.
Michele has been working in Ireland since 2017, where she’s been mainly performing orthodontic treatment, focusing on fixed braces and Invisalign.
Michele treats patients of all ages, from young children to adults.

Dr Victor Vidigal is a Dental Surgeon, originally from Brazil, now based in Ireland. He initially completed his undergraduate dental degree in Minas Gerais, Brazil, before going on to specialise in Oral Surgery. He also holds an MSc in General Dentistry from Fernando Pessoa University in Porto, Portugal and a master’s degree in Implantology from the European Postgraduate Centre.
Victor brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to DCI and is a great addition to our team. He is now accepting referrals for surgical extractions (including impacted wisdom teeth), Frenectomies, crown lengthening, exposure of canines for orthodontics, implants, amongst many other treatments.
Victor puts a lot of time into patient care and communication, trying to make each visit as comfortable as possible. He uses his experience and education to provide individual treatment plans for each patient while paying close attention to the full scope of their health.

Our visiting Consultant Orthodontist, Pat graduated from Trinity College, Dublin, in 2004. He uses braces to correct crowded and misaligned teeth in adults and children, creating beautiful smiles.

Dr Niamh O’Rourke completed her dental degree with a number of prizes and awards in 2001 from Trinity College Dublin and worked in private practice as well as hospital dentistry for a number of years before returning to study to complete her specialist training in orthodontics through the Royal London Hospital and Queen Mary University of London.
Dr Niamh was awarded the prestigious JK Williams gold medal from the Royal College of London and Glasgow for her performance at her specialist orthodontic membership exit exams in 2014. She has a number of publications in peer reviewed journals including her masters research which was published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics.
Dr Niamh then completed a further 2 years consultant training with Kings College Hospital London and the Royal Surrey County Hospital. This gave Dr Niamh experience in dealing with the most complex of orthodontic cases – many involving multidisciplinary care including advance restorative needs and jaw surgery. She was awarded her fellowship in Orthodontics with the Royal Colleges in 2016.
Dr Niamh has since held posts in private practice in London as well as a consultant post at the Eastman Dental Hospital. She currently holds a consultant post with the HSE.
Niamh is passionate about orthodontics and is listed on the Irish Dental Council Register of Dental Specialists as well as being a member of the Orthodontic Society of Ireland, British Orthodontic Society, the American Association of Orthodontists and World Federation of Orthodontists. She is committed to providing the highest standards of care for all her patients and keeping up to speed with current orthodontic developments.

Dr Alessandra Barbedo qualified from the Dentistry School, PUC University in South of Brazil. She got her Specialist degree in Orthodontics in São Paulo and a Masters degree in Dentistry, at Fernando Pessoa University (Portugal).
Dr Alessandra Barbedo is a member of Irish Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists and World Federation of Orthodontics.

Specialist Orthodontist (Navan Orthodontist)
Dr O’Donnell qualified from Trinity College Dental School in 1987. During his time here he was named the 1986 Winner of the Costello Medal for Undergraduate Dental Research. On completion of his undergraduate studies, he worked as both Junior and Senior House Surgeon at the Dublin Dental Hospital; rotating around orthodontics, oral surgery, periodontics, prosthodontics, paedodontics, restorative dentistry and accident and emergency. He spent a further two years working in general dental practice and graduated in 1994 with a master’s degree in orthodontics from the University of London. Between 1994-1996 he lectured undergraduate and postgraduate orthodontic students at The Dublin Dental Hospital.
Dr O’Donnell holds a Membership in Orthodontics with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh; a Membership in Orthodontics with the Royal College of Surgeons of England; a Membership of the Orthodontic Society of Ireland; and he is registered on the Orthodontic Specialist Register of the Dental Council of Ireland.

Patrick graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2002. He completed a two-year implantology course in 2004, laying a strong foundation for his expertise in predictable implant placements. In 2010, he earned the prestigious two-year FGDP Diploma in Implant Dentistry, along with the Advanced Certificate in Bone Augmentation.
Patrick has contributed to the field as a tutor on the Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons London, where they mentor general dentists in implant placements. He has also pursued advanced implantology courses in Brazil, Germany, Hungary, and Italy—countries renowned for leadership in dental innovation.
Patrick is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Association of Dental Implantology, the British Dental Association, the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners, and the International Team for Implantology.
Known for making patients feel comfortable, Patrick is dedicated to providing conservative and sensitive care, especially for those who are anxious about treatment.
Beyond dentistry, Patrick enjoys golf and running, having completed four marathons, including the San Sebastian marathon in April 2017.

Dr Angus Burns, B. Dent Sc., MFD (RCSI), D. Ch. Dent., M. Orth. (RSCEd) – Specialist in Orthodontics
Angus graduated from Trinity College Dublin with an honours degree in Dental Science in 2004. He was awarded his RCSI membership in 2006 and subsequently returned to the Dublin Dental Hospital to complete his three year full time specialist training in Orthodontics.
On completion of his specialist training Angus was awarded his clinical doctorate from Trinity and his M. Orth. qualification from the RCS (Edinburgh) and is listed on the Dental Council Register of Specialist Orthodontists. He actively keeps himself informed of the latest developments in orthodontics and holds a part time teaching position in the Dublin Dental Hospital.

As a specialist orthodontist registered with the Irish Dental Council (Registration Number 12DS24) and a member of the Orthodontic Society of Ireland, I bring extensive expertise to my practice.
Originally from Mallorca, Spain, I graduated as a dentist from the University Rey Juan Carlos of Madrid in 2015. Following my dental qualification, I worked as a full-time NHS dentist in the United Kingdom, where I also completed a year of training as a Senior House Officer in the Maxillofacial Department, Oral Surgery, and Orthodontics. This role provided valuable clinical exposure to complex orthodontic cases, including impacted teeth and orthognathic jaw surgery.
In 2019, I returned to Madrid to pursue a three-year full-time postgraduate program in orthodontics, graduating with distinction in 2022. Since graduation, my practice has been exclusive to orthodontics. I feel fortunate to have achieved my childhood dream of becoming an orthodontist and strive every day to provide the highest quality of orthodontic care to create beautiful and confident smiles.
Outside clinical work, I am passionate about fitness and health and like to stay closely connected with my family and friends. I enjoy spending time in nature, attending orthodontic courses and meetings for continue professional development and reading non fiction books.

Maeibh qualified from Trinity College Dublin in 2007. After qualifying she worked in general practice in Dublin before moving to Dental Care Ireland in Castlebar where she has been since 2009. Her special interest lie within periodontal surgery and oral surgery.

Dr. Monika Magee earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Pécs, Hungary, in 2007, followed by three years of postgraduate training in restorative dentistry and prosthodontics. She later joined the Department of Restorative Dentistry at Semmelweis University, Budapest, where she combined clinical practice with teaching and supervising undergraduate students. During this time, she developed a strong interest in Endodontics, which has remained her primary area of focus.
Since relocating to Ireland in 2013, Dr. Magee has worked in private dental practices across Dublin, with a particular emphasis on root canal treatments. In 2024, she completed a Master’s degree in Endodontics at the University of Chester, further deepening her expertise in this field.
She is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care and believes in building trust through clear communication and a calm, supportive approach. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her two young sons, and pursues interests such as reading, running, and hiking.

Dr Lian O’Dwyer, BDentSc (TCD), MFD RCSI, MDentSc, IMOrth (Eng)
Practice limited to Orthodontics
Dr Lian O’Dwyer graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1999 and worked in general dental practice in Dublin and Australia for several years. In 2002 Lian was granted Membership of the Faculty of Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Lian undertook three years of specialist training at Leeds Dental Institute and St. Luke’s Hospital, Bradford.
Lian qualified as a specialist orthodontist in 2008 from the Royal college of Surgeons in England and won the J.K Williams gold medal for the best new orthodontic graduate in England.
In addition to her clinical practice, Lian holds a part-time teaching post at the Dublin Dental Hospital. It is her goal to offer high quality orthodontic treatment at NDC in Ballsbridge Dublin to adults and children who want to improve their smile.

Dr. Alejandro Lite studied dentistry and a Master’s Degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at San Pablo CEU University in Madrid. He is also an expert in Aligner Orthodontics and an Invisalign Provider.
Dr. Lite provides both simple and comprehensive treatments to all patients to achieve the best aesthetics and function in a pleasant and comfortable way using the most advanced techniques and the latest technology. He is focused on prevention and early-stage interceptive treatments to avoid major complications.
In his free time, Alejandro enjoys hiking, developing his artistic skills and travelling.

Dr Aidan qualified as a Dental Surgeon from Dublin Dental Hospital, with a First Class Honours in 1998 and a further three years in Trinity College specialising in Orthodontics. He gained a Masters from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. He has worked as a specialist in Orthodontics for 14 years and has a broad range of experience.

Dr Dáithí is a specialist paediatric dentist dedicated to providing gentle, high-quality dental care tailored specifically for children. He qualified from Trinity College Dublin, completing his Bachelor of Dental Science before returning to undertake his Doctorate in Paediatric Dentistry.
With experience in both hospital and private practice settings in Dublin, Ireland, and Vancouver, Canada, Dr Dáithí brings a broad and confident skill set to his work. His time as a flying dentist delivering care to remote Arctic communities in Canada shaped his calm, adaptable approach and strengthened his commitment to compassionate, accessible care for every child
At the heart of Dr Dáithí’s practice is a truly child-focused philosophy. He places strong emphasis on building trust, easing dental anxiety, and creating positive experiences that help children feel safe and confident at every visit. Known for his gentle manner and patience, he takes time to understand each child’s needs and works closely with parents to ensure they feel informed, supported, and reassured throughout their child’s treatment.
Outside the clinic, Dr Dáithí enjoys travel, the outdoors, and spending time with his family. As the parent of a young child himself, he understands the challenges parents face and brings genuine empathy and understanding to his care—helping families feel comfortable, heard, and well cared for from their very first visit
