Originally from Cork, Cormac graduated from the Cork University Dental School in 1985 and worked in the UK before taking over Wellington Quay Dental Centre in 1993. He has studied Complete Dentistry at the Dawson Institute – a comprehensive, individual approach to each patient’s dental care.

If you are a nervous patient, Dr Reynolds will help you overcome your fears. To reduce your anxiety before and during dental treatment, he now offers dental hypnosis, a highly effective treatment, successfully used by thousands of dentists world-wide. Dr Reynolds has completed his dental hypnosis training with the British Society of Medical and Dental Hypnosis in Glasgow.

In addition to a wide range of dental treatments, Dr Reynolds is also trained in administering Botox and Dermal Fillers injections, and he is delighted to be able to offer this extra service at Wellington Quay Dental.

Dr Allen Hegarty has studied and graduated from the Dublin Dental University and Hospital in 2022.

He is experienced in providing a wide range of dental pain-relieving treatments, such as root canal treatments and tooth extractions. Furthermore, he enjoys aesthetic dentistry where he has carried out veneers, crowns and composite bonding.

Dr Allen Hegarty believes that all patients deserve to have optimal oral health without any judgement in a calm, supportive environment. Allen is passionate about delivering personalised and achievable oral hygiene plans to allow adult and child patients to prevent gum disease and tooth decay.

Allen aims to teach and learn about any new developments in modern dentistry.

When Allen isn’t doing dentistry, he enjoys playing and watching soccer and rugby.

Dr Margaret Gormley qualified from Queen’s University Belfast over 20 years ago. She is an experienced dentist having worked in practices across Ireland, UK and Australia.

Margaret enjoys keeping up to date by regularly attending dental education courses. She holds a postgraduate certificate in Endodontics.

Margaret aims to provide a high standard of care. Her friendly and relaxed approach puts patients at ease.

Outside dentistry, Margaret enjoys spending time with her family and playing tennis.

Patrick has been working as a dentist for over 20 years.  He has trained and worked in Ireland, England and the U.S.A. during that time.  He loves treating patients and seeing new faces.   Practicing minimally invasive dentistry, his main drive is to preserve, prevent and restore teeth so that patients can have healthy and happy smiles for life.  He is a very gentle family dentist who provides treatment with an emphasis on holistic care.   He has worked the last 11 years in private dental practices in Manchester and the south coast of England and has relocated to county Dublin to be nearer his extended family in Newry.  He trained for 6 years in Queen’s University of Belfast where he attained the Foundation Scholarship for excellence in undergraduate study and he continually attends many courses around the U.K and Ireland including at Manchester University and King’s College London.  He has a special interest in prosthodontics, minimally invasive cosmetic dentistry and aligner tooth straightening. 

In his spare time he enjoys playing the trumpet and piano; he has played in various bands and has a great love of music and the arts. And spends most of his spare time going on day trips around the country with his young family.

Our visiting Consultant Orthodontist, Pat graduated from Trinity College, Dublin, in 2004. He uses braces to correct crowded and misaligned teeth in adults and children, creating beautiful smiles.

Dr Luciana Bialta Contato graduated from Universidade Norte do Parana in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry. In 2010 she completed a post graduate Specialist Diploma in Endodontics from Universidade Norte do Parana. In 2018 she completed a Masters in Dentistry from University Fernando Pessoa, Porto. Dr Contato commenced practice as a specialist Endodontist in 2010 in the State of Parana, Brazil. In 2019 she commenced practice as a specialist Endodontist in Ireland

Dr Victor Vidigal is a Dental Surgeon, originally from Brazil and now based in Ireland. He initially completed his undergraduate dental degree in Minas Gerais, Brazil, before going on to specialize in Oral Surgery. He also holds an MSc in General Dentistry from Fernando Pessoa University in Porto, Portugal and a master's degree in Implantology from the European Postgraduate Centre.

Victor brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to DCI and is a great addition to our team. He is now accepting referrals for surgical extractions (including impacted wisdom teeth),  Frenectomies, crown lengthening, exposure of canines for orthodontics, implants, amongst many other treatments.

Our dental hygienist, Majella, trained in Boston before returning to Ireland and joining Wellington Quay Dental Centre. She is dedicated to helping you improve oral hygiene and reduce the risk of gum disease. She looks after patients gums, keeping them healthy and strong.

Robert McDonnell is a registered dental hygienist, qualified in 2022 from Trinity College's Dublin Dental Hospital. Mr McDonnell is a professional qualified in preventative techniques, non-surgical periodontal treatment, oral hygiene education and periodontal examination.

Mr McDonnell is a perpetual student who is furthering his education continuously with research and further learning.
