What Is BioClear?

BioClear is an advanced teeth bonding procedure that is minimally invasive and cost-effective. BioClear uses clear forms that are filled with heated composite material matched to the shade of your teeth.

The Biofilm (a layer of bacteria on the surface of all teeth) is removed prior to placement of the composite. The clear form sits just below the gum line so that the teeth appear to emerge naturally. Using this technique, Dr Cormac Reynolds can fill black triangles, close gaps and build up uneven teeth.

When the clear forms are removed and after the composite material has been injected, what’s left behind is a smoothly contoured composite that has a beautiful shine and is smooth to the touch.

How Does BioClear Work?

The first thing to understand is that BioClear veneers are not so much a product as they are a process. With this process, transparent plastic is wrapped around either side of the tooth to create the desired shape. Then dental composite is filled in around and between the teeth. It’s a relatively simple procedure, and because it takes a conservative approach (no grinding away of tooth structure), it’s also very comfortable.
