Dr Claire Burns graduated with honors from Trinity College Dublin in 2008. In 2010 she was accepted  as a member of Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh.

Dr Karen Grealis qualified from Trinity College in 2012 with honours. In 2013 she completed a Senior House Officer year in Restorative Dentistry in the Dublin Dental Hospital as well as her membership exams with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.

After a few years working in general practice she moved to Australia where she has spent the last four years working in a busy general practice in Sydney. In 2019 she completed a postgraduate diploma in orthodontics.

Dr Grealis enjoys all aspects of general dentistry but has a keen interest in patient education, prevention and orthodontics.

Victoria Lobo is a general dentist in our Ashbourne Practice

Dr Eleni graduated in 2012 from the Dental School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. 

In 2015 she opened her own practice in Thessaloniki, Greece practicing general dentistry with a focus on restorative dentistry, endodontics and oral surgery. 

Following her passion for medical science, she undertook a three year MSc in Hospital Dentistry, graduating in 2020. During her post graduate studies she was trained on the dental management of medically compromised patients, treating patients under general anesthesia and oral surgery. 

Since her graduation she continued to pursue continuous experience and knowledge through seminars and courses focusing on restorative dentistry, dental photography and prosthodontics. 

In 2019, she attended a course on advanced prosthodontics in the Private Practice of Dot. Gianni Persichetti in Rome, one of the most famous practices in Italy. 

In 2020, she was invited as a webinar speaker from the Academy of Clinical Dentistry in Greece. 

In 2022, she graduated from the one year Clinical Program on Implant Dentistry in the university of Cologne, Germany. 

Dr Victor Vidigal is a Dental Surgeon, originally from Brazil and now based in Ireland. He initially completed his undergraduate dental degree in Minas Gerais, Brazil, before going on to specialize in Oral Surgery. He also holds an MSc in General Dentistry from Fernando Pessoa University in Porto, Portugal and a master's degree in Implantology from the European Postgraduate Centre.

Victor brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to DCI and is a great addition to our team. He is now accepting referrals for surgical extractions (including impacted wisdom teeth),  Frenectomies, crown lengthening, exposure of canines for orthodontics, implants, amongst many other treatments.

Dr Heraclio Alves Barbosa Junior, also known as Leo, started his journey in Dentistry in 1992 in Manaus, Brazil. He graduated in 1996 as a general dentist, and right after he got accepted into the Orthodontics Program in Brazil. Today, he has more than 20 years of experience in Orthodontics. Besides orthodontics, in 2013 Leo undertook a master’s degree in TMJ disorders and orofacial pain in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

In 2017 Leo moved to Ireland looking for new opportunities. He revalidated his degree in Portugal becoming a qualified dentist in Europe. Nowadays, Leo is working with Dental Care Ireland Ashbourne adding his expertise to deliver excellent patient care.

Dr Maria Vicente Sitima graduated from Faculdade de Medicina Dentária da Universidade de Lisboa (FMDUL) in 2019.

Dr Maria is passionate about her job and is always trying to improve her skills by continuously attending various dental courses.

Dr Maria focuses on Prosthodontics and Aesthetics, including composite bonding, crown, veneers and implant based restorations.

Paula Lyons began her career in the dental profession in Tipperary working and trained as a Dental nurse.

In 2001 she graduated from UCC and Cork Dental Hospital with 1^st class Honours in Dental hygiene.

She has worked as a Dental Hygienist in Ashbourne since 2004 and she continues her education with regular training courses in maintenance and treatment of periodontal health.

Paula works on an individual oral hygiene regime for patients assessing their gums health risks and homecare habits thus helping them maintain healthy gums and teeth.

Audrey O'Brien started her dental nursing career in 1985. She gained her Dental nursing diploma in 1988 from the Dublin Dental Hospital. She worked in a large family practice in Dublin for nearly 20 years and since has been working in dentistry in the Ashbourne area. Audrey joined the Dental care Ireland team in September 2015.
