At Northumberland Dental Care, we understand that undertaking dental treatments can be an anxious experience for some patients. We have an expert anaesthetist service on hand to provide you with dental sedation in Dublin if needed.
What happens during sedation?
There are two types of sedation.
Conscious sedation is the most common form of sedation and is administered intravenously. After this dental sedation in Dublin, you will become relaxed and may even fall into a light sleep. We make sure to constantly monitor you throughout the procedure and reverse the sedation at the end of the procedure.
If you require a general anaesthetic, we always work closely with a hospital to provide you with this type of dental sedation in Dublin.
Why is sedation needed?
There is no specific treatment that requires dental sedation – it all depends on you, the patient. Our aim is to ensure you are always as comfortable and relaxed as possible and, if that means dental sedation, we are more than happy to accommodate you.
What happens after the treatment?
As with all dental treatments at Northumberland Dental Care, we will let you know exactly what to expect following the treatment. If you have any queries or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
