Dr Gantar graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1984. He took over the practice from his mother and father in 1987. He continued to tutor paediatric dentistry in the Dublin Dental Hospital for 15 years and still maintains a special interest in the subject. In 2005 he undertook post graduate training in the DDH graduating with a Dip. Ci. Den. He is a strong supporter of the continuing education programmes in RCSI and with the Irish dental association. He is a past president of the Irish dental golfing society and of the Terenure College past pupils union and continues to be active in both. He is married with two children and lives close to the surgery.

Dr Crowe graduated with a First Class Honours from Trinity College Dublin in 1997. He joined the practice in 1998 after working as a House Officer in Dublin Dental Hospital. He received a Postgraduate Diploma from Bristol University in Orthodontics & Restorative Dentistry for general practice in 2007. He completed a BSc. in Nutrition in UCC in 1988 and a PhD at Dublin Dental University Hospital, TCD, investigating dental problems in childhood and diet/obesity. He is Assistant Professor and Lecturer in Nutrition and Oral Health in Dublin Dental University Hospital.
Dr Michael is a former Hon. Secretary of the Irish Dental Association and the Editorial Board of The Journal. Dr Crowe is Hon. Secretary of the Irish Society of Dental Sleep Medicine (ISDSM). He is a member of the International Association for Dental Research, the British Orthodontic Society and the Nutrition Society. He enjoys coaching hurling teams in Kilmacud Crokes GAA club and is an ardent fan of Munster rugby and Limerick hurling.

Dr Nicola Barry qualified from Trinity College Dublin in 1995. After graduation, she worked for 3 years in practice in London. Upon returning to Ireland, she worked in Maynooth and Palmerstown before setting up Fortfield Dental in March 2009. She has a specific interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. She provides quality dentistry in a relaxed and friendly environment. In October 2023, Dr Nicola joined Dental Care Ireland Kimmage.

Dr Briony Kells qualified from Queen’s University Dental Hospital, Belfast in 1988 and subsequently worked there for 8 years. During that time she completed her Fellowship qualification and her Masters degree. In addition she was awarded the 1995 medal for achievement in the Membership of Restorative Dentistry examination by the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. Since moving to Dublin in 1996 she applied her skills in dental practice in Maynooth and Palmerstown. Fortfield Dental was established with Dr Nicola Barry in March 2009 where the emphasis is on providing modern, high quality dental care with minimum stress for all the family. In October 2023, Dr Briony joined the team at Dental Care Ireland Kimmage.

Dr Clare O'Connell qualified from University College Cork in 2018 with an Honours degree in Dentistry. She then spent 2 years working in a mixed NHS/private practice in London where she gained lots of experience working in general practice before moving home to Ireland. Clare enjoy all aspects of working in general practice and particularly enjoys treating children and nervous patients. She has completed a Diploma in Primary Care Dentistry and MFDS examinations in the RCSI and hopes to do further training in the future. Clare enjoys attending courses and keeping on top of the latest and best treatment options for patients. When she's not working, Clare enjoy travelling, reading and spending time with her friends and family at home in Cork.

Dr Allen Hegarty has studied and graduated from the Dublin Dental University and Hospital in 2022.
He is experienced in providing a wide range of dental pain-relieving treatments, such as root canal treatments and tooth extractions. Furthermore, he enjoys aesthetic dentistry where he has carried out veneers, crowns and composite bonding.
Dr Allen Hegarty believes that all patients deserve to have optimal oral health without any judgement in a calm, supportive environment. Allen is passionate about delivering personalised and achievable oral hygiene plans to allow adult and child patients to prevent gum disease and tooth decay.
Allen aims to teach and learn about any new developments in modern dentistry.
When Allen isn’t doing dentistry, he enjoys playing and watching soccer and rugby.

Dr Caroline Fleming is a highly experienced dentist with a strong clinical focus on implant dentistry, oral surgery and periodontal treatments.
She qualified from Trinity College Dublin in 2002 with an honor's degree and has since gained extensive experience working in both hospital settings and private practice across London and Dublin.
Caroline has a particular interest in oral surgery and dental implants, having worked as both a Senior House Officer and Specialty Doctor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the UK.
Dr Fleming is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons. She was awarded a Diploma in Periodontology in the U.K. in 2023 as well as the Membership in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. She has also been awarded a Certificate in Conscious Sedation.
Caroline is committed to providing the highest standards of patient care while prioritising patient experience and comfort.

Lina Bangu qualified from the Dublin Dental University Hospital in Trinity, she is a registered Dental Hygienist.
She is extremely passionate about her patients’ oral health, and loves nothing more than to give her patients a sparkling clean smile!
Lina really enjoys speaking to people about the importance of their oral hygiene, and loves nothing more than to see the health of her patients’ teeth and gums improve under her care.
Her thoughtful and empathetic approach means that even the most nervous patient is put at ease in the dental chair.
Her key focus is special care dentistry and Periodontal care Dentistry. These are her core passion as a health care professional.
In her private time she enjoys impacting her local community via education on other various health and personal care. She is a new mommy and wife.

Zita has been working for Dental Care Ireland since 2023. She was one the first Dental Hygienists to qualify in Ireland in 1995. She went on to work in the UK for 25 years in a wide variety of dental surgeries, from general practice to specialist periodontal clinics. Zita is very upbeat in her in her approach to dental hygiene and still enjoys her work as much today as she did when she qualified first.

I am a Registered Dental Hygienist with over a decade of experience. I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Oral Hygiene in 2013 from the University of Pretoria in South Africa. I’m passionate about helping patients gain confidence through their smiles and being part of that transformative journey. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and have a love for travel and new experiences.

Una Hennessy had been working in our Kimmage practice for many years as a Dental Nurse before progressing to Practice Manager over 15 years ago.
Una is registered with the IDC and received a distinction in Dental Radiography in 1998. She is excited to be involved with the planning and growth of Dental Care Ireland Kimmage and is looking forward to many great advances that are planned for the practice.
Una enjoys the flexibility of being a Practice Manager and loves meeting people from all walks of life on a daily basis. Una says she is lucky to be working with a great team of Dentists, Nurses and Hygienists, and of course all of the background staff who have all been so supportive since the practice joined the Dental Care Ireland group in November 2021.
Una believes it is important to encourage a positive and happy workplace. She is interested in further education and always happy to try out new ideas and suggestions.
