Dr Michael DoyleGeneral DentistMichael qualified from Cork Dental Hospital and UCC in 1998 with a BDS or Bachelor of Dental Surgery. Having studied in Cork for five years it is perhaps unsurprising that Michael fell in love with the city and its people.
Following a sojourn in the UK for five years, it came time to come home, and there was really only one place for it. Michael took over from one of Ireland’s most famous dentists at the time the legendary Pat Gamble at 59a MacCurtain Street in 2003 and joined a practice where the culture has always been the highest standard of dental care in the safest, most gentle manner. Passionate about Continuing Professional Development Michael is always learning and studying more aspects of dentistry including CPR, root canal treatment, and surgical techniques. Michael has studied aesthetic composite bonding under the renowned Didier Dietschi and is currently studying for a clinical orthodontic master’s with Professor Simon Ash and Professor Parmjit Singh in Birmingham and London.
Michael believes modern dentistry is a journey from when you first pick up the phone to contact us to when you are booking your six-monthly check-up. That journey should be pleasant and unrushed, with all your personal dental goals achieved along the way in a comfortable, friendly environment.
Michael is married to a cork woman, the wonderful Mairead and has three lively boys. They all love Barleycove in West Cork and spend every spare minute over the summer down there. Karate is a passion. Being from Laois, Michael's GAA allegiances’ are torn between Cork and Laois but unfortunately for Laois, the rivalry is not too intense.
