Dr Cathal graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS, NUI) from University College Cork in 1992. He later completed a postgraduate Business Diploma at the University of Limerick in 1997, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Dip Clin Dent) in 2005.

With a strong commitment to excellence in patient care, Dr Cathal places great emphasis on continuing professional development and ongoing dental education to ensure patients benefit from the latest advances in dentistry.

In 1999, he established Athenry Family Dental Practice, where he has been proudly serving the local community with comprehensive, patient-centred dental care for over two decades.

Originally from Kilrush, Co. Clare, Dr Cathal has a keen interest in sport and is a dedicated supporter of Clare and Galway GAA. Outside the practice, he enjoys staying active and regularly participates in triathlons.

Dr. Elizabeth Walsh is an experienced Dental Surgeon who attended Trinity College Dublin with an entrance exhibition and graduated with an honours degree in Dentistry.

She is dedicated to providing high-quality patient focused dental care. Known for her gentle approach and attention to detail, she creates an environment where patients feel informed, confident and at ease throughout their treatment.

She continually stays up-to-date with modern dental techniques and best practices, most recently completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Operative Dentistry in the UK. This ensures her patients benefit from safe effective and evidence based dentistry. She regularly attends courses and conferences to review the latest research and maintain the highest standard of care.

Outside of dentistry, she enjoys travelling and experiencing different cultures as well as spending time in the great outdoors. Her interests include skiing hiking and making the most of nature whenever possible.

Dr Ahmed AlMajmaie is a Dental surgeon with a special interest in Surgical Dentistry, all aspects of general dentistry, with more than 10 years of clinical experience. He believes in providing gentle, honest, and personalised care for every patient, and takes time to explain each step clearly to ensure a comfortable and stress-free experience.

Dr Ahmed has worked with different teams across a variety of roles and positions, and was appointed as a Registrar in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Galway University Hospital, where he practised for three years. He currently works part-time as an HSE Registrar and as a Dental Surgeon with Dental Care Ireland.

With a strong interest in evidence-based dentistry, Dr Ahmed is committed to continuous professional development. He has attended multiple scientific conferences and courses both nationally and internationally, and has presented and published posters and articles.
On his free time he enjoys horse riding and he regularly attended the races in Galway.

Ria started her dental carer as a dental nurse in 2008 where she worked in both general and specialized practices. She then returned to study dental hygiene in University College Cork where she graduated with honors in 2014. 

Ria takes great pride in making nervous patients feel at ease and achieving a healthy smile. 


Yolande Keane

I qualified with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene from University College Cork in 2001, having previously completed a Certificate in Dental Nursing. I am committed to ongoing professional development and have attended continuing education courses in the United States, the UK, and Ireland. I have a particular interest in the care and maintenance of dental implants.

Following qualification, I gained extensive experience working in dental practices in London and Dublin, spending three and a half years in each, before returning home to Galway. In recognition of my professional standards and dedication to patient care, I was awarded KIN Dental Hygienist of the Year in 2016.

Outside of dentistry, I have a strong passion for travel and have visited over 35 countries, seen six of the seven Wonders of the World, and qualified as a PADI licensed diver during a trip to Grand Cayman. A native of Kinvara, I am delighted to be living and working back in the west of Ireland.
