Pat qualified from U.C.C. and then undertook postgraduate training in restorative dentistry by completing the full time Masters Programme in Prosthodontics at the Eastman Institute in London in 1998. He purchased the practice in 2001 and  has completed postgrad courses in the US annually since. Pat has always believed in combining the best in modern dentistry with the highest standards of patient care and above all believes prevention is better than cure.

Dr Louise graduated from UCC with an Honours degree in Dentistry in 2005.  In 2009, she gained her membership to the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons London. In 2017, Dr Louise was awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Conscious Sedation with distinction. Through her studies, she has gained a better understanding of patients anxieties around dental treatment.  She has worked in the UK, Australia and Ireland.  Louise has interests in preventative and minimally invasive dentistry.

Dr Eileen O'Mahony qualified from UCC in 2012 and like our principal dentist Dr Hartnett, hails from the hurling stronghold of Midleton, East Cork.    After graduating, Eileen carried out a Vocational Training year in St. Helens; she then continued to work in UK based practices (Liverpool & Belfast) for a further 7 years where she gained invaluable experience in many aspects of Dentistry. Dr Eileen joined Dental Care Ireland Cork in 2020 and is hoping to undertake Invisalign and Composite Bonding courses in the near future, which will be of great benefit to all of our patients! Dr Eileen endeavours to create a warm and friendly environment in surgery and to involve the patient at every step along the way in their treatment process. In her spare time, Eileen enjoys tinkling the ivories (for whoever will listen), a spot of travelling and lounging about in cafes.

Dr Simon Stokes qualified from UCC in 2006. He worked in general practice in Scotland and Wales and moved to Cork in August 2021. He was awarded membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery in the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 2008 and obtained a Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies from the University of Bristol in 2016. He has a specialist interest in root canal treatment and is in the final year of an MSc in Clinical Endodontics at the University of South Wales.

Dr Ciara Cronin graduated from University College Cork with an Honours Dentistry Degree in 2014 and has worked in private practice since. Ciara is a warm, caring and gentle dentist. She likes to make sure each patient visit is as relaxed and comfortable as possible. Ciara is committed to providing the best standard of dental care to her patients. She has a postgraduate diploma in primary care dentistry and has been awarded membership of the Faculty of Dentistry with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Ciara provides all aspects of general dentistry including Invisalign, composite bonding and facial aesthetic treatments. She likes helping patients smile with confidence.

Dr Gavin Nugent is a dentist in Dental Care Ireland Mayfield.

Dr Margot Murphy is a dentist in Dental Care Ireland Mayfield.

Dr Marie Cooke completed her dental training in 1997 and underwent specialist training in Orthodontics at The Royal London Dental School and Hospital alongside a research masters from Queen Mary University London. Marie further completed an additional 2 years of training in surgical and restorative orthodontic techniques at Cambridge University Hospital and Guy’s Dental School and Hospital London (Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship Examination in Orthodontics).

She was a scholarship recipient and prize winner in UCC and also achieved awards from both the European and British Orthodontic Societies when training as an orthodontist. In addition she has undertaken postgraduate qualifications in teaching and health economics.

She is a past examiner of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Marie currently holds a Consultant post in Orthodontics in Cork and holds private clinics at Dental Care Ireland Cork.

I studied dentistry in University College Cork, graduating with honours in 2019. I then spent two years working in general practice in Edinburgh, followed by three years of dental core training jobs in various hospitals throughout Scotland. During this time, I gained experience in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Oral Medicine along with spending time working with children, anxious adults and patients with additional needs in the public dental service. I have a love for teaching, and completed a Masters in Medical Education in June 2025. I am now in my second year of training in Oral Surgery in UCC ( Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry), and continue to develop my surgical skills.  Outside of work, I love cooking, baking and playing hockey!

Dr Myra O'Sullivan is a General Dentist at Dental Care Ireland Cork

Gillian qualified as a dental hygienist from UCC in 2000. Since then, she has worked in number of practices. Gillian has over 20 years experience in dental hygiene.

Yvonne qualified as a Dental Hygienist in 2018 with an honours from University College Cork and was awarded the Curaprox award for gaining the highest result in the final year periodontology exam.   She has 9 years experience working in both private and specialist practice having qualified as a dental nurse in 2013.  Yvonne has a gentle and friendly manner and is passionate about giving her patients the best advice on looking after their oral health.

Rachel O'Donnell is a Hygienist at our Mayfield practice.

As the Practice Manager at Dental Care Ireland, Mayfield, I bring a wealth of expertise in both clinical and managerial roles. I began my journey in dentistry by qualifying as a Dental Nurse at UCC, building a strong foundation in patient care and clinical excellence.

With years of experience in management, I oversee the daily operations of our practice, ensuring a seamless experience for both patients and staff. My focus is on fostering a supportive environment where efficiency and high standards of care are prioritised.
