In 2011 she began working as Principal dentist in Virginia Dental Surgery. Helen went on to complete a Post Graduate Diploma in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry in Manchester University in 2013 and has continued working in Virginia Dental Surgery and sister dental practice in Ballyjamesduff since.
Helen has a particular interest in aesthetic dentistry, crowns and dental rehabilitation. She works closely with our orthodontist and periodontist/implant specialist in treatment planning restorative cases and also enjoys working with children.
Helen has four children herself and enjoys her free time playing with them, reading and walking.

Dr Brendan O'Gara BDS first joined our dental team in Virginia in December 2012. With over 30 years' experience in general dentistry, Brendan is an excellent dentist. He treats all types of patients but has a special interest in oral surgery, crown and bridge work.
Brendan's roots are in Manchester and Donegal but he has spent most of his career in Australia. He was accredited to various Australian hospitals to perform general dentistry with a focus on oral surgery under general anaesthesia. He also spent time as a dentist for the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Queensland.
Brendan enjoys travelling, hillwalking, traditional Irish music, and plays piano, fiddle and accordion. He played chess at county level in the UK, and as a member of MENSA has an affinity for problem solving, particularly in dentistry.

I was born in Spain but educated in an English school, which gave me a strong connection to both Spanish and English culture from an early age. Coming from a family of doctors and dentists, I was inspired to study dentistry and have since gained experience working in my family practice as well as other clinics in my hometown.
At 28, I have now relocated to Ireland and I am excited to continue my career here, caring for patients in a new community. Outside of work, I enjoy sports staying active and I am a second dan black belt in judo.

Jessica graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a distinction in Dental Hygiene in 2025. She enjoys teaching patients how to achieve and maintain their optimal oral health in a friendly environment and particularly enjoys treating nervous patients and those with dental anxiety and aims to make dental visits an enjoyable experience.

Lindsey Gaynor is a Practice Manager in our Dental Care Ireland Virginia practice.
